Trio Novo Brasil

Catherine Bent (London, UK), Mauro Correa (Rio de Janeiro) and Lucas Casacio (São Paulo) combine their technical and musicological powers with a passion for the music of Brazil, interpreted on cello, 7-string acoustic guitar, drum set and percussion.
Audiences will be delighted by this fresh angle on bossa nova, samba, MPB (Música Popular Brasileiro), as well as choro, forró, frevo. The trio play music of great Brazilian artists including Djavan, Dominguinhos, João Bosco and Pixinguinha, as well as their own compositions.
